Justice forms the foundation of his throne, and the upright are called to rejoice. Catholics can read its language in the light of Christ's revelation of divine kingship and the triumph of his Resurrection. The Psalm also demands a moral response: love of the Lord entails hatred of evil, not hatred of people. Its imagery teaches reverence before God and confidence that truth will ultimately illuminate what is presently hidden.
