Psalm 11 does not glorify recklessness; it asks where security ultimately rests. God's gaze tests human hearts, and his love of justice rules out indifference to violence. For Catholics, the Psalm strengthens courage in moral confusion without removing the need for prudent choices. The righteous person's deepest refuge is not an institution or a favorable outcome but the presence of the God who sees truly. Christians may hear an echo of Jesus' call to build on rock rather than sand.
