The worshiper trusts that God's purposes will continue even amid trouble. Catholics can use this Psalm after receiving help, recovering strength, or discerning a difficult path. Its confidence is neither arrogance nor certainty about a particular outcome; it rests in God's abiding fidelity. The Lord's regard for the humble also resonates with the Magnificat, where Mary praises divine power working through lowliness.
