The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, And they shall condemn it: Because they did penance at the preaching of Jonas. And behold, a greater than Jonas is here. Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak: Heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled. And my soul is troubled exceedingly. Who can tell if God will turn, and forgive: And will turn away from His fierce anger, That we shall not perish? Forgive the sins of our nation and of the whole world. Forgive the sins committed against the vulnerable, Especially against children. Bring to light what is hidden in darkness, Break the power of evil, And restore justice where it has been denied.
