The world is not an accidental collection of objects but a creation called to glorify its Maker. Catholics can use the Psalm to awaken gratitude and responsible stewardship, recognizing that humanity praises with creation rather than standing outside it. Christian hope extends toward the renewal of all things through Christ. The hymn also refuses to reserve worship for the wealthy or powerful: young and old, rulers and ordinary people are all summoned to bless God's name.
