The night is not denied, but praise begins within it. Catholic prayer can use this Psalm when danger or grief makes life feel confined. The image of divine wings expresses intimacy and protection, while the desire for God's glory broadens prayer beyond immediate rescue. Christians can see a fitting echo of Christ's trust in the Father throughout his Passion, without assigning the cave setting directly to Jesus.
