<description>"Come to the Lord" — co-written by Steve Angrisano and Tom Tomaszek and based directly on John 14 — is a warm, uplifting song of invitation and comfort, calling us to come without fear or worry to the Lord who says, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me." This new version of "Come To The Lord" recorded by Sunday 7pm Choir is sung more gently on purpose, to evoke a new sense of reverence and prayerfulness to the song's lyrics. This Fifth Sunday of Easter, the Church gives us one of the most consoling passages in all of Scripture: Jesus promising His disciples — and us — that He goes to prepare a place for us in His Father's house, that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that whoever believes in Him will do even greater works because He goes to the Father (John 14:1–12). Angrisano and Tomaszek's song captures the very heart of that promise, inviting us to come to the table of the Lord, to lay down our burdens, and to trust in the One who has made a place for us — an especially beautiful and tender message for First Communion, times of loss, or whenever a weary heart needs to hear that it is safe to come home. Recorded live by the Sunday 7pm Choir at SFDS Parish, Ajax ON Canada.
