Divine greatness spans the cosmos and the pain of an individual person. Catholics can draw hope from this unity of providence and compassion. The Psalm also gives thanks for God's word and instruction entrusted to Israel. Christian faith recognizes the Word made flesh, who draws near to those in need of healing. The Lord's care is not only for the spectacular and powerful; he gathers the scattered and binds wounds that might otherwise remain unseen.
