Psalm 121 reassures travelers that the Lord neither slumbers nor abandons them. For Catholics it is a natural prayer before journeys and in uncertain transitions. Its promises must not be reduced to a guarantee against every accident or hardship; God keeps his people ultimately in faithful care. The Church's journey toward the heavenly homeland is sustained by that same providence. We travel under the gaze of the One who made the road and its destination.
